In The Okanagan Valley, white wines are still what we do best and our location in Peachland is the ideal situation for a range of cool climate, aromatic grape varieties including the mighty and noble Riesling. Here in our deep sandy soils we are able to reflect our time and place perfectly with well balanced and imminently drinkable wines you're certain to enjoy.
Picked on a bright but chilly 26th of November, this block was set aside with the intention of making a more luxurious ‘late harvest’ wine but done in a ‘trocken’ or dry style. Fermented in all stainless and aged on its lees for 12 months before bottling. The added lees contact adds some nice texture on the mouth feel along with the bright aromas of gala apple, stone fruit and some intermingled notes of iris and spice. Lovely texture framed by its fresh acid hide the R/S (which is pretty minimal anyways) and make this wine very approachable now.
