The Mixed Whites Pack
The Mixed White Package (6 bottles)
A cross of Riesling and Knipperle (at first they thought Sylvaner but DNA identified Knipperle) Knipperle is the most traditional grape found in Germany. Typically, a dry wine.
2016 Riesling Spatlese
Picked in November was set aside with the intention of making a ‘late harvest’ wine but done in a ‘trocken’ or dry style. Fermented in all stainless and aged on its lees for 12 months before bottling. The added lees contact adds some nice texture on the mouthfeel along with the bright aromas of gala apple, stone fruit and some intermingled notes of iris and spice. Lovely texture framed by its fresh acid hide the R/S (which is pretty minimal anyway)
2016 Savagnin Blanc
Delicate fruity flavours and high-toned floral notes; that rings true. This wine is a great match for seafood, think local trout fresh off the BBQ.
2017 Pinot Blanc
This wine was aged in 25% used French Oak, with the remaining in stainless; all of it kept on lees for 12 months with plenty of string. You’ll get that classic green apple, lilac and nuttiness in a well-balanced medium-bodied package. Soft cheeses, salads and creamy dressings, Flaky fish, Nutty flavours.
2017 Muller Thurgau
With the aromas of nutmeg, apple, black current and apricot, this wine is off-dry, with medium acidity and light body. An easy-drinking favourite for all occasions.
2017 Gruner Veltliner
With the aromas of lime, grapefruit and white pepper, the wine offers lovely tension and accents of honeysuckle, lemon, ripe apple and honey. An elegant and easy-drinking white to savour as an aperitif as well as at the table.
